  1. Prepare 1 chicken breast, cubed
  2. Take 200 g canned tomatoes
  3. Prepare 1/2 onion
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  5. Prepare 1 clove garlic
  6. Make ready 1 tsp ground cumin
  7. Get 2 tsp ground coriander
  8. Get 1 tbsp garam masala
  9. Get 1/2 tsp turmeric
  10. Get 1 tsp curry powder
  11. Make ready 1 cinnamon stick
  12. Make ready 1 bay leaf
  13. Get 1/2 tsp salt
  14. Take 1 diced tomato
  15. Take 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Coriander Chicken recipe - referred prominently as Dhania Chicken is a delicious curry from Bengali cuisine. Unlike other chicken curries, it is much easier to prepare and involves a diverse range of aromatic spices and herbs from our very own Indian kitchen. This Indian-style chicken will go well with basmati rice, naan bread or even rice noodles, from Good Food Magazine. Whizz together the coconut milk and coriander (leaves and stalks) in a food processor, then tip out and set aside.

Steps to make Aromatic Coriander Chicken Curry:
  1. Gather your ingredients and dice the onion and garlic. I like to measure out the spices into bowls and cube the chicken at this point too
  2. Grate your fresh ginger into a pulp. Love the smell of freshly grated ginger!
  3. then fry the onion, garlic and ginger on a medium heat until they start to brown.
  4. When the onion has nicely browned, lower the heat and add the cinnamon stick, bay leaf and all the spices except curry powder, then add the canned tomatoes and simmer for 10 mins
  5. While your sauce is simmering, pan fry your chicken with some olive oil and sprinkle on the curry powder. This spice is optional and gives a little more kick to the dish.
  6. When cooked through and browned, add your chicken to the tomato sauce mix and continue to simmer for 5 minutes. A minute before you're done, remove the cinnamon stick and bay leaf, and then throw in your diced fresh tomato
  7. Serve over fresh jasmine rice if you have it, and sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro/coriander
