  6. Take 1 and 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  7. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. Make ready 1 pinch hing powder
  9. Take 1/2 tsp Panch phutan
  10. Take 4-5 Curry leaves
  11. Get to taste Salt
  12. Take Mustard oil to cook
  13. Get To make the mustard paste
  14. Prepare 2 tsp black mustard seeds (Rai)
  15. Prepare 2 tsp yellow mustard seeds
  16. Take 1/3 tsp Cumin seeds
  17. Prepare 2-3 dried red chilli
  18. Prepare 1 pinch turmeric powder

Saute the red curry paste until aromatic. Bamboo Shoot, Chicken and Fried Tofu RiceThanks for the Meal. Add the red chili paste and stir it in well. Reduce the coconut and chili mixture until it is thick and oily.

Instructions to make Bamboo shoots Curry with Mustard paste (KARIDI Besara in Odisha):
  1. Soak the ingredients of mustard paste for 30 minutes in lukewarm water.
  2. Grind the soaked ingredients of mustard paste by adding required amount of water to a fine paste.
  3. Keep immediately in refrigerator to avoid the pungent smell and taste of mustard paste. You can store in refrigerator for further use.
  4. Take the chopped veggies in a microwave oven safe bowl. Mix 2 drops of refined cooking oil, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and a pinch salt, 3 tsp mustard paste very well and cook in the microwave oven for 5-6 minutes to have tender veggies.
  5. Heat mustard oil in a wok. Add hing powder and panch phutan seeds to crackle.
  6. Now add chopped garlic and sauté for 1 min in low medium flame.
  7. Mix chopped onion and curry leaves and cook till the onion translucent. Add chopped tomatoes, 3 tbsp bamboo shoots and adjust the salt. Cook for 3 min or till bamboo shoots is cooked and tomatoes are softened.
  8. Add water to make the gravy. Put the veggies. Mix well. Cover and cook for 2 mins in low medium flame.
  9. Now the Curry is done. Serve hot with Rice. - Thanks ☺
